Why your website should be where people land when they click on your Pinterest post
On the 31st of October, I saw really good advice on Pinterest that sounded like motivation. I clicked the link, and it was a broken Instagram link.
It could be that Instagram banned the account. It could be that the owner changed their username on Instagram and forgot that the old one was still on the pin.
Instagram is not your home
Instagram is someone else's platform. A website is a media, a blog, an article, a shop and more that you own. It stays live and public, and it holds everything you do, even your social media updates.
A good pin is only the start
Having an attractive idea on your Pinterest is one thing. Making people stay longer and showing more about you is what matters.
Catching interest is one thing, and you are already doing something exceptional. But that post is not the only thing that needs visibility. You need visibility too.
Imagine someone landing on your website and seeing more of what you do, simply because they got interested in what you posted on Pinterest.
Make your website a point of contact on your Pinterest post
Prioritize having your website as a point of contact on your pin. A lot of eyes are on Pinterest.
